KERDALO is born in 1962 in France .
A graduate of the School of Applied Arts in Paris (1980).
As soon as he graduated, KERDALO chose to express himself firstly through illustrations for the press, and then cartoons, publishing eight comic books of remarkable quality with Casterman éditions.
In 1996, he decided to devote himself to painting. He was firstly and has had growing success thanks to his novel pictorial approach. He was firstly interested in impressionism and set down on canvas the landscapes from south of France . since 2010, he retained a fascination with urban universes and their boundless perspectives. Building lines dissapeare into the sky, wide avenues from Paris, London, NEW YORK appear endless, grey colors clash. In fact, Laurent KERDALO’s work belongs to no known movement. It is perhaps worth inventing the theme of Modern Impressionism to qualify this new pictorial approach. KERDALO is gifted with a rare talent for the treatment of light and colors.
